The Department of Physics of Govt. P.G. College Purola was established in 1993. At present Department of Physics, of Sri Dev Suman University offers three year Graduate courses. The semester system has been introduced in session 2022-23. The admissions are on the merit basis. The total intake at UG level is 69 students. The students have been getting good placements in the Govt. and private sector after completing their Degrees from the department. The faculty members have been frequently attending various National and International Seminars/Symposium to present their research. The Faculty of the department have published 39 research papers in reputed International Journals.

Extra-Curricular Activities
Different competitions like Quiz, Poster, Seminar etc, are organized by Physics Association every year for Physics Students. This year function was organized on Date 24/05/2022 Prizes were distributed to the students getting Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions in different events.
