Department of Botany
The Department of Botany of Govt. P.G. College Purola was established in 1993. At present Department of Botany, of Sri Dev Suman University offers three-year Graduate courses and two years Post Graduate courses. The semester system has been introduced in session 2022-23. The admissions are on the merit basis. The total intake at UG level is 159 and at P.G. level is 17 students. The students have been getting good placements in the Govt. and private sector after completing their Degrees from the department. The faculty members have been frequently attending various National and International Seminars/Symposium to present their research. The faculty of the department have published 40 research papers in reputed International Journals.

Different competitions like Quiz, Poster, Seminar etc, are organized by Botany Association every year for Botany Students.
