National Service Scheme (NSS)
About NSS and Its Importance
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a public service program launched by the Government of India with the motto "Not Me, But You",
which emphasizes the importance of selfless service and social responsibility. NSS aims to develop the personality of students
through community service, fostering a sense of social and civic responsibility. It provides opportunities for young volunteers
to engage with society, understand its challenges, and contribute to its development, all while enhancing their personal and
professional growth.

The college proudly hosts two active units under the National Service Scheme, enrolling a total of 200 volunteers.
Every year, these units organize five one-day general camps and a seven-day special camp.
During these camps, volunteers actively participate in various social service initiatives, including cleanliness drives,
literacy campaigns, and public awareness programs. Additionally, public awareness rallies addressing critical societal
issues are frequently organized.
Beyond these camps, the NSS units contribute significantly by conducting activities on important national and international
occasions such as International Non-Violence Day, International Yoga Day, International Women’s Day, Sridev Suman Day, and
Constitution Day. Furthermore, NSS volunteers play a pivotal role in organizing and supporting events like sports competitions,
Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti celebrations.
The NSS motto of "Not Me, But You" is truly brought to life by the volunteers, as they immerse themselves in understanding
societal challenges and working towards solutions. This engagement not only benefits the community but also facilitates the
holistic development of the students, enabling them to become responsible citizens with a deep sense of empathy and leadership.
