The Department of Education commenced in the 2012-13 session in B. L. J. Govt. (P.G.) College, Purola Uttarkashi. The Department at present is offering UG course (BA Education) to attain the following objectives:
To impart quality education to students coming from rural and economically weaker sections.
Provision of practical learning experience to the students with relevant educational and psychological tests.
Develop creativity, logical reasoning and problem solving attributes among the pupils through their indulgence in varied co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
In the year 2021-22 the department organized various activities like:
Speech Competition:
The department organized debate competition on relevant topics of Education.
Poster Competition:
Students prepared posters on various themes of Education.
Creation of Programmed Instruction:
As an important topic of students’ syllabus ‘Programmed Instruction’, they also created the Programmed Instructions for class 6 to 8
