The Department of English of Govt. P.G. College Purola was established in 2012-13. At present Department of English, affiliated to Sri Dev Suman University, offers three year Graduate course and two year Post Graduate course. The semester system has been introduced from 2022-23 session. We provide intensive mentoring to our students both in and beyond the classroom in a wide variety of forums. In pursuit of providing academic and scholastic ambiance, the Department has always motivated debates, discussions, writings and research gathered from the margins, sheltering voices responding to the literary canons of the empire. Its academic achievement lies in nurturing the creativity and scholarly abilities of its students.
